Cohen Seglias’ Federal Construction Practice Group has considerable experience in representing federal construction contractors. We also understand the government’s perspective and procedures because our attorneys have extensive experience on the other side of the table – handling construction contracting for federal agencies. Our practice focuses on military and civil works construction, and our clients include general contractors, mechanical and electrical subcontractors, specialty subcontractors and architect/engineers. We assist contractors in preparing proposals in response to RFPs, we interpret contract terms and conditions, we assist in the formation of teaming arrangements, we assist in the presentation and negotiation of requests for equitable adjustments and claims, and we provide advice and representation with regard to protests.
The practice was formed when Cohen Seglias merged with Payne Hackenbracht & Sullivan in 2009 and Michael Payne became the Chair of the group.
